Study workflow. In the discovery phase, we compared the differences in DNAm levels in blood-derived DNA of 50 ccRCC patients and 50 TMM controls, and identified CpGs with altered DNAm levels associated with ccRCC (left column). To confirm the accuracy of the ccRCC-associated CpGs found in the discovery phase, we compared the difference in DNAm levels between another 48 ccRCC patients and 48 TMM controls in the replication phase (right column).
